Christmas Shoppin' in Vancouver

Departure airport: CYYZ
Arrival airport: CYVR
Departure time: 6:00pm EST 2300z
Arrival time: 8:00pm PST 0400z
Date: Saturday 24th of November

There will be no ATC booking for this event. Just sign on to your preferred position first.

However, beginning at 7 PM PST, there will be an expectation that after one hour controlling, you will methodically hand off your position to someone who has not yet controlled. If everyone has controlled, hand off to someone who is currently on a break.

You must be fully rated and signed off for the position - no 'solo certs'.

That's it. Self-policing. You can nudge an overdue controller by ".msg"ing them a link to this post.

I'm having issues with this system. Is there any guarantee that any controllers will turn up with no hard booked positions?

That's not a guaranteed event though.

Maybe a better way to do this would be to make sure a certain number of controllers are guaranteed to show up (not necessarily hard positions) at some point and then use the self-policing system from there.
